Been given an Idea !!

A good man dropped a bug in my ear that maybe some of you have items you would be willing to donate for an auction . To raise money for CGO and seebescotty . It sounded like a dang good idea to me so dig through your stuff find that ammo you don't own a gun for anymore or dies you don't need and lets get some things together and see what we can come up with . I will be willing to do all the leg work necessary to put this together just drop me a line and let me know what I need to do. Thanks to all . And god bless you all .

Hey buddy, I've got a bag full of 7.62x39 ammo, some on stripper clips, varying brands , types, etc...I'll get a count and get back to ya. the only prob. is most is not in the original box which may cause some shipping headaches.

I would think as long as you pack the hell out of it and triple tape the entire box, everywhere, it will hold...

I'm not sure about shipping it, but I know when I was flying a lot, they wouldn't allow ammo to be brought onto the plane unless it was in it's original packaging. I tried to take some surplus 8x57 to a buddy in a MTM Casegard ammo box and they wouldn't let it through, I had to call my wife to come get it.

I can't donate anything, but I'd surely like to bid on some of the things you've put up so far. We each do what we can.

I'll find something to add. How are we going to put the list together?

OK here is my thought on the list we go with what we have now I will make a list of contributers the bidders contact them with questions the money is either sent here or directly to CGO and Scotty . Anything contributed to the list later than midnight 9/26/09 will be on a second auction .
I hope this is all ok with Chris I hate to bother him as busy as he is . Steve B. you are the big dog in this fight could you make sure everything is cool ?
I will also add to the contributions again . I know I have some stuff in that safe room to get rid of . Let me look around . I accepted a job with the state Agraculture department + the ranch I am streching pretty thin . But I am dedicated to Debi and will see this thing through but if I am a little slow in responding please understand .

Can someone tell me the point of this thread? I may be able to help out, I traded a lot of ammo the other day that I no longer had guns for and I thought I got it all. However, if I did not, I may be able to help.

Auction? So this stuff is going to be auctioned off? I may have to bid then, if it is open to others.

Just so it does not have to be chased around one of our members and friends "CGO" has breast cancer and we are working on ways to put money together to help with the bills etc.. that come along with this fight . I really appreciate this outpouring of kindness . I think what we will do is list all the items on a new thread and put a time limit for items to be bid on and whom ever wins sends the money to the donator or directly to CGO and when funds are certified as received the item goes out to the winning bidder .
I see no reason why guns could not be donated as long as all laws are obayed which is between the donating party and the party . This site assumes no responsibility for people who break the law . FFL's must be used on out of state transfers . Except in the case of both partys having a C&R or a FFL . And the gun would have to qualify for C&R status for that to work .

Thanks to all involved we will get this going soon ! Open to everyone !
