17 gallon Craftsman aircompressor

I went to Sears hardware today to pick up some stuff to install a toilet. On my way out my brother looks down and says Dang that's a good deal! I look down and they have a Craftsman 17 gallon air compressor for $99. I asked the clerk if it had been returned and she no. It was last years model and the new ones had just came in. They had just pulled it out of the box. Needless to say I have a new air compressor. I am excited!!!

Good deal, I assume it's a "donut" compressor?

Just be sure to keep it oiled and it should last ya awhile...my Dad's Craftsman is about 12 years old and still going strong.

(I had a brain fart, the donut compressors are smaller then 17 gallons, I may have read your OP as "7" gallons. *shrug* CRS maybe? LOL)

Actually it looks like one of those teflon piston compressors. If it is it doesnt need oil, but they are noisy.

Great deal . I got a deal some what like that last year . I bought 4 trim guns and a compresser at Home Depot for $259 . I about pood myself when I saw that price . I priced the guns individual $159 each . I thought a man would be crazy to pass that up . They came in real handy when we built the bar and refinished the basement . Those little trim guns are among my favorite toys .

They are nice. Great for blowing off gun parts. I'd like to plumb a line to my basement so I'm not always running to the garage.

You might want to consider a portable tank for blowing off gun parts in the basement. They aren't too expensive and should last a while for that.

Thats just about the same one i have but its larger. My brother in law gave it to me as he purchased an upright model...I have been given a air wrench a few blowing tools to clean off stuff and i found a 1/2 inch air gun for ten bucks that was brand new in the box.
Sure does make things a lot easier especially grunting off nuts and factory sealed ones
are easy now.. Good luck with that one i am sure that you will like it.....

Would be cheaper than plumbing it I think. Good idea.
