Question Have a question about my SIG 228 9 mm

Have a question about my SIG 228 9mm...

I have this gun which I got brand new about 10 years ago.

It is all black in color and made in Germany.

(not sure where the new ones are made today)

I was told its a K Koat model.

What exactly is that ?

Anyone knows ?

Thank you.

The K-coat is a polymer protective finish to prevent corosion from salt water. This is also called the "navy" version, as it was made for and used by the U.S Navy Seal teams and the UK special boat service.
