I like the guys comment. It could give you the time to call 911. Like thats going to save you.

I just wonder what long term damage wasp spray would do to someones eyes.

just look around your home, there are alot of things that canbe potentialy used as a weapon... from the obvious kitchen knife to a stapler, pencils and so on... if we take the time to learn exactly were everything is placed in our homes then at night if some one breaks in and you cant get your gun in time then you will know where some items are... i agree with the guy on the wasp spray, there are ant sprays out there as well that can shoot upwards of twenty feet or so... just keep an eye out for strangers in your neighborhoods or strange cars...

Another "Anything but a gun" (THEY DON'T EXIST, SO GET USED TO IT !) mentality Like "the Colony" BS!

I'll stick with my Bersa .380, much more effective.

I like his comment about that being best thing he can teach them (Anything but a gun). Yeah right!

(I now have my "conspiracy theorist" tin-foil-hat on ).

BTW, If you live in Toledo, you'd damn strait BETTER own a gun!

I foresee a very slim chance of my being in a situation where I couldn't get to a gun. I know all of the improvised weapons, but I prefer a 12G to a sharp pencil.

from personal experience, a dry chemicl fire extingusher squirted into the eyes will stop an agressor. then you use the metal cylinder to bean him over the head. not a better choice than a gun but legal in all localities or vehicles.

With a lot of items you have to get in close to use in a defensive/offensive mode while with a firearm you can stand off from the target.
This is especially helpful to weaker and older folks.
So go with what will work best for you.
