Looking for a Target sight for L39A1.

I need a decent Parker Hale PH5C sight to finish off my L39A1. Please email stangchris@aol.com if you have one. Thanks.
Also could use an AJ Parker TZ4/47.

E-bay has them all the time, $150 more or less.

When you get your PH5C sight there are two ways of installing the rearward 'bolt' :

1) get a bolt which is long enough to go thru' both of the rear sight 'ears'.
2) get a bolt which only goes thru' the left hand side rear sight 'ear'.

There are arguments for both systems but if using the 'full length' bolt DO NOT overtighten it, you can very easily compress the two sides of the action together - you'll know when you've done it as the bolt (the main bolt, not the sight mounting bolt) will be jammed and you cannot withdraw it.
Conversely using the 'short' screw method allows the action to expand & twist under recoil as the action is not fully supported across the rear.

Personally I'd go for (and am currently using) the long bolt but watch how tight you make it and regularly check its tight.

The front mounting screw replaces the ejector screw, you'll no doubt be told you need a longer screw, but I have found on my No4s that the extractor does the work and the cases are ejected before they get to the ejector screw. Use the original ejector screw to mount the PH5C and if it then does not eject you can buy the longer screw.

Just a point - the PH5C sights are calibrated for 303 not 7.62.
You'll need to make your own calibration / conversion table

You will either want a

AJP TZ 4/47 or 4/80 marked 7.62mm on the sight like one of these pictured below

The 4/47 is on my L39A1 and the 4/80 is on the Fultons Regulated D69 7.62mm conversion. The 4/80 is the REALLY hard one to find cmpared to the 4/47.
