My brother-in-law just let me have a Rohm GMBH Sonthiem BRENZ Mod 66 with wooden grips, a Marlin 995 and 2 pints of Nicaraguan rum for $75. Do ya think I got a good deal? The rifle seems to be in very good condition, the pistol is, well, what it is, and the rum is "Flor de Cana(pronounced 'canya')", one light "extra dry" 4yrs old and one dark "Grand Reserve" 7yrs old.
Opinions please.

Flor de Cana (flower of the cane) Is my favorite brand of Rum! Its not expensive but its what I buy. the rifle is worth more than $75. the Rohm $10. maybe. you got a pretty good deal. pour yourself a stiff rum & coke and celebrate!

The Rohm is a fairly decent gun. I've had several of the model 66's. I've put a lot of rounds through them with no problems. They're the best of the cheap imports that were coming in back in the 70's. It's worth 50.00-75.00

IMO it was the best of RG line. But I wouldn't say it was better than the FIE or Excam revolvers.

FIE and EXCAM both were importers of cheap foreign made guns. RG was imported by FIE. Dart, Erma, Tanarmi, Targa, & Warrior were some of the other brands imported by both. Maybe not better but just as good.
