rossi 30-06?

I just got a rossi 30-06 for my birthday.Does anybody know if these are any good and what is a good round for deer hunting would be?

Pretty much anything in .30-06 is gonna put a deer down. Just buy standard soft point. As for quality, the only one I've ever shot was a .22lr and it impressed me a lot. They have a good reputation far as I know, so I think you should be ok.

Remington Core-Loks have been killing deer for more years than any of these new ballistic tipped rounds. As far as the Rossi quality goes, they're fairly good from what I've heard. Don't own one personally. Big Horn, just take it out, shoot it and see how it does. With practice, you'll be able to shoot out to some serious distances. If you're new to it, stick with under 100 yards until you get comfortable with further distances.
