Tennessee: Right-to-Carry in parks and a tale of two guns

As I am writing this, both the Knox County Commission and the Knoxville City Council are about to decide if our community needs to opt out of a provision allowing carry permit holders to carry their weapons in parks. The arguments both for and against are very familiar ones; in fact, they are the same arguments that were used when deciding if we should have carry permits at all. The truth is, parks are just like any other public places, and the same rules should apply to parks that apply elsewhere.
