Yesterday I say one marked Century Arms on the tag it looked brand new and had no stamping on the receiver so who makes these? Century on sells the don't make, right?

RUN FORREST RUN.CAI had receivers made up overseas,they are of very poor quality.In some cases unsafe altogether.The Fulton Armory website has some information on these under the FAQ in the Garand section.

I run from everything made by Century. IMHO. And it is just an opinion. Just bad experiences with their Tantal AK74...and an AK47. Poor workmanship.

It's a parts kit that shoots.
The recievers were made by Lithgow in Oz.
Figure the going rate for a Garand in that condition -- then factor in the cost of rebuild on a USGI reciever.

Could we have yet another made in China POS knock off. Seems these days you can't go anywhere without running into some POS Chinese knock of junk.

I found the part about re-welds but nothing on the Aussie Lithgows.

back when the CAI garands were common, there were people that hated them and people that loved them. so the only way to know is to shoot it.

Are re-welds very noticeable?

And like all other CAI rifles, these are marked as well correct?

Some "re-welds" are easy to spot, some are not. It depends on the skill of the welder and how it was finished. Check the drawing number on the receiver leg against the serial number.

Walt Kuleck knows his stuff . I've bought some very nice M1 Garand parts from Italy on E-bay and they were shipped from his address. Kinda cool.
Mr. Kuleck's books come in handy , too.
