Factory rifle shoot off

Here are the "Rules" for the comparison shoot out

Average of (3) three shot groups at 100 yards.

Cool down is allowed.

Rifle must be of .243 caliber or larger and of a factory production model and unmodified.

Rifle must be hunting gun, i.e. something you carry in the woods, not a strictly target/competition gun.

Scope is limited to 14X max.

There will be three categories of guns;
Under $500;
$500-$1000;
Over $1000.
This cost is for the base rifle and does not include scope, rings, and bases.

Please post pictures of groups, list make and model of gun, make and model of scope including power, and load data.

Feel free to post as many 3 shot groups as desired. NO CHEATING. The object is to share info on the FACTORY guns out there so that we can spend our money wisely and hopefully not get a lemon in the safe.

Gentlemen, The Range is Hot. Fire at Will.

So my parts AR can't participate? Okay, I'll have to put up some targets from my Rem 700 next week. Does it have to be factory ammo as well?

Oh, I've been wanting an excuse to go to the range. And hey, I've gotta Nikon Monarch 5-20X on my Marlin XL7, it's still allowed as long as I stay under the power setting described correct?

We'll have to take your word [as to the setting of your scope] as a gentleman 'tagged, but we don't want to get too crazy here. Let's see what you can do with that Marlin.

Nice shooting Billy. I bet you like shooting that gun as much as I like shooting my Marlin.

Well, I'm doing this as a teaser, not an entry. Here's a link from the Marlin Owners forum. Look at the 2nd picture of the group in the first post. Then scroll down to papajohns post.
How's this for 336 accuracy?

Both a re 30-30's, both are less than $500
Too bad levers aren't accurate You bolt action guys better get to work

I'll post the pic of the 3 shot group from my Marlin 336 with the Hornady leverevolution ammo below. My dad paid $125 for this rifle, used, back around 1983/4 and gave it to me as my first deer rifle. (I was 13 or 14) It's a factory rifle with a Tasco World Class scope, 1.5-4.5x32. I bought the scope last year on clearance at Dick's for under $70. I just leave it set on 4x all the time. This is the best group I have ever shot in my life. Did it last Saturday @ 100yds. Group size is .382

Here is a pic of the rifle. Sorry but it's a crappy cell phone pic, but they all look the same anyway.
