Hell yes I like it! I never was that impressed with them before, but now I think they're quite possibly the coolest rifle ever made! Let the grandson shoot it yesterday, and he fell in love with it too.

Funny about the dog....the avatar is our Coco, but our oldest Beagle is named Annie. Both purebreds, Annie is a 15" and Coco is a 13". Sweetest dogs ever.

Go Navy, you just missed it. It sold two days ago. Sorry.....
Rondog, my Annie is a purebred 13. And she's 13 years old.

Hey Go Navy,

to be honest with you when I was going to put mine on, I found out that my stock had to much wood where the barrel clamps for the rail go. So I took it to a local gunsmith...Who BTW was a subcontractor for Kahr and his shop was an M1 Carbine lovers playground Stocks,Recievers,Barrels, Magazines,Bolts, Clips, Trigger assemblies, Any part you could possibly want for your Carbine. and he did it for me I didnt want to do it and have the stock crack on me...my luck thats what would happen....

But im not really sure as to what could help you....is it possible the rail is to far back on the barrel?

I have a very nice National Postal Meter made in late 1943.

One day I will have to learn to post pictures.

Just one, rec'd 10/26 CMP SG Win. Born May 1943. Fresh back from an extended visit to Austria (LGKV mark on trigger guard). Shown with it's two years younger brother.

My Inland, Serial no. in the 6,339,000 range, from CMP. I thought about restoring to early features, but this carbine is late enough itself, that the late features might be original.

jimb2 - You'll be happy to hear that I'm not going to mess with the stock on that IBM I bought from you. I've found a Boyd's stock for $60 and am going to make that one all shiny and pretty. The original stock will be removed and saved as-is.

The Boyd's doesn't have the handguard with it, so I'm seriously thinking about the Ultimak w/rail. I think it'd be just dandy to have some kind of optics on that lil' rifle.

And there was a really nice looking carbine for sale recently in Colorado Springs. It was a Quality Hardware receiver with a Rock-Ola barrel, came with two magazines, a stock pouch, sling and oiler, and a leather handled M4 bayonet with the M8A1 sheath. All that for $500!

I had to hide under the bed until someone bought it and it was safe to come out again. I really wanted that package, but I've GOT to stop spending money!

I try, I really try, to stick with just ONE of each kind of gun that I have (well, except for 1911's). I've resisted Mosin #2, resisted Garand #2, Enfield #2, etc., but that $500 carbine package was tough. Really tough. The leather handled WWII M4 bayonet w/sheath just made the pkg. too sweet. That's $100-150 right there, making the carbine only $350-400.

I had to go buy that $200 Browning Buckmark to stop the shakes.

Newest addition is an Underwood. Barrel is either 3 or 8 of 1944 and the serial number puts the date of manufacture around August or September of 1943. This one snuck into my house.. I didn't mean to buy it.. I placed a fair to low bid on it on Auction Arms, and ended up with the gun..

I have a bunch of questions about it because it's not like my Inlands or Winchester.. See other post..
