I'm looking at getting this scope to set atop my loved Spanish lady but im afraid after a shot or two from her the zero will be gone...what do you think....p.s. I know the "cocking" handle would be in they way because the scope is 16" long but i don't plan on leaving it in the holding groove Im just going pull back and let go.

I have seen pics of some ridiculously large scopes on cetmes. I am not a big fan of Leapers but I cant say it wont work. I do know that Leapers will stand behind the product.

Don't worry about that scope length. I have this scope on my CETME with an aluminum two-rail claw mount and the charging handle just clears the scope... with the scope caps on. It's also really clear for the price you pay. I love it.

I Have this scope. I mounted it to my Cetme but it sat to low with the mount I had causing the charging handle to hit it. I instead mounted it to my Enfield 2A 308. Once I got it dialed in it has held zero fine. The one I bought is not an "air gun" scope. But be careful, Leepers also make airsoft scopes!!

I have had some Leapers scopes in the past and they are tough and handle recoil just fine , especially the one you are looking at (5th Gen)....I would go with the 4-16X scope because you dont need any more Magnification than that on a .308 rifle. When you go above 10X you start getting into "Mirage effect" problems...

Your rifle will work well out to 500-600 meters. Trying to hit beyond that might be expecting too much. The lower end scope manufacturers have their place. Barska makes one capable of handling a .50 BMG recoil for around $300. It is at least 1/3rd the cost of the next one around for that load, so I would guess leapers would handle the recoil well enough. I would make sure you have some threadlock on the screws holding up the scope to the mount. Anyway, good luck.

I put a Russian POSP 6x42 on mine, I paid like 165 bucks for it. I love it. built like a tank (just about as heavy as one) but is clear, robust, and holds zero well.

not a good day for my cetme....went out to the range and after 6 shots it jammed....the bullet ended up 1 inch in front of neck.....had to use a cleaning rod and a hammer to get it out.... but it left no damage...i did good at the range before it jammed though....anyone use it to hunt with...I'm really considering it....

Any good quality scope is fine for the CETME - of all semiauto .30 caliber battle rifles it has the lowest felt recoil.
Mine wears a simply 6X42 'German Reticle' Chinese-made scope, and has worked fine for several years of shooting. I do have it on high see-thru rings, so the iron sights are still useable without removing the scope.
