Question Length of a correct #5 "JC" sling?

Nobody, whether on Gunbroker or E-Bay, states the length of a sling for either length rifle.

If it measures 39" (stated in seller's e-mail), does this look normal on a #5, versus a #4?
Many English or Canadians probably have the two lengths memorized.

Can't find our measuring tape.

From my research and learning about my new #5, I've read that, more or less, "an Enfield sling is an Enfield sling". In other words, there wasn't really a certain sling "made" for the Jungle Carbines, they used the same as the other rifles. I recently bought a khaki sling and a green one on eBay, still waiting for them.

And I just got all the rear sight parts, WOOHOO! I'm only one screw away from having Lil' Bubba all correct! Need the barrel band screw, mine has a self-tapping Phillips head in it.

No4s & No5s all used the same sling, there were various colours used (Blue, RAF for example) but either a Kaki or a Green would be correct for a No5.

Seems I read some where that the green slings were made for the #5. Green-jungle.

Thanks-maybe that is why a couple of LE websites stated no length.

Have fun with your new rifle Rondog.

Hello

I agree with most of the replies already made. However...there is a sling that is similar to the regular web rifle sling, same colour, material,etc...but it is longer, it was made for the BREN Light Machine Gun. I don't know how much longer the BREN sling is though.
Thanks
Mark
