Scary thing is, it very well could become a reality before the movie gets released?
Nothing saying it will be Russia or China or N. Korea, who knows, it could just be them all, together? Especially when our Commander in Chief appears weak to them, they may see it as a perfect time to jump?
Think about it. Our economy is still struggling. Our congress is very much divided, as is we the people. We're financially strapped. They see some of the people of this country in the streets with signs that show they're not happy with their government for whatever reasons. Our military, some of it anyhow, is busy with Afghanistan and Iraq. Obama has backed away from the defense shield/missiles in Poland and Czechoslovakia. He's also been indecisive in regards to a troop surge in Afghanistan.
These are just a few things the governments of the countries I mentioned and others I didn't that dislike us, have a deep seated hatred for us, want to see us fail, go down, fall off our so-called high horse that some if not all of the countries that hate us feel we've been on.
They may see it, if things continue to go the way they are, or worse, get worse, but they may see it as the perfect time to do and or try something?

But yea, let's hope it's as good as the original. The graphics should be better anyhow.

I probably won't watch it. Red Dawn is the type of movie to leave alone...it'll just be a cheesy knock-off probably.
Like the newest Die Hard...it was a great movie, but not a Die Hard movie. They should have just called it "FireSale" instead of trying to market the die hard name.
I own it, and I like it...but it's NOT a real DH IMO

Kinda like the last Indiana Jones movie, it was an o.k. movie but didn't live up to the I.J. legacy. That being said, I will check out the new Red Dawn movie, if it comes close to the original it should be good. I also want to see how politically incorrect they will be towards our "friends" the Chinese.
As long as it is not like GI JOE that was the worst flick in a long time...Guys It is not looking good so far,I just read that JED in the movie IS going to be a MARINE home on leave when all this goes down.THEY are going to screw up the best part of the movie.That normal young AMERICANS can rise up and stick it to any man.SO now i get to look forward to at least seeing if they have my favorite line in the movie...AVEEEENGE ME!!!!!!!
