Florida seeks to speed up Right-to-Carry permit process

Florida officials say qualified individuals can shorten the time it takes to get a Right-to-Carry permit by visiting one of eight licensing division regional offices.

I believe Florida is a "must issue" state, so I don't see what the holdup might be. How long does it take to run someone through NICS and CODUS and see if they are disqualified from owning a gun? It's not like living in New York, where you have to jump through a lot of hoops and appear before a judge who MAY grant you the permit!
