front sight question for 03a3
Saw a strange 03a3 today it had a funny front target style sight and was other wise the same the sight looks like it could have been original as it is a one piece part that goes around the barrel at the bottom of it and looks like the shape of an 8 reminds me of a Swedish Mauser sight on their military target rifles anyway it took some work to install this front and its old. anyone got an idea of what this is?

Most likely a Lyman 17AXNB.This sight replaced the issue front sight and barrel band assy.Here's one that sold on GB LYMAN 17 AXNB FRONT TARGET Sight O3A3 : Sights at GunBroker.com
