Thunder 45 Ultra Compact Pro Nickle

Took my new Thunder 45 Compact to the range the other day and was impressed with some of the offering and not happy with a few of the features.
I set my target up at 25 feet and put the front sight on the bottom of the black and the gun printed into 3" but low and a bit left. I do not like white outline rear and white dot front sights, I had an indellible felt pen and blacked out the sights. My next group was shot and the gun was all in the black using a center of the bull hold. The trigger is very good the safety is unusual in that it looks like it allows the gun to be carried cocked and locked; the safety lowers the hammer when it is pushed UP covering the RED DOT, the safety in the up position also locks the slide.
I removed both magazines and wanted to load them up with 7 rounds each, one mag would only take 6 the other went to capacity. I put one mag in and loaded the barrel I shot it till MT and then with the slide locked back went to insert the other loaded magazine. As I went to push it home the slide rammed forward stripping a round off the mag loading it...I put the gun on safe and removed the mag, unloaded the chamber and then locked the slide back manually. I tried both mags and both will cause the slide to self release... I am sending the pistol back for repair, I talked to a gentleman called Tony at T&A Gunsmithing he assures me that he can fix the problems...
The pistol has some nice features, but should have been tested prior to being shipped. Will let you know how this pistol turns out.

Funny you mention that. My Bersa UC .45 has a few quirks. One being the safety won't stay engaged. It's going in to get fixed.

On the other hand, my Firestorm UC .45 is perfect.

Kinda strange.

Hey guys. There is a lifetime warranty on Bersa pistols. Are the folks you are taking them to going to do it no charge? If not, there is a Bersa forum which has instructions, etc. & a lot of knowledgeable Bersa owners. It is called Bersa Talk. Register & you can get all the info you need.

Thanks for the info on the site, my Bersa cost me $37.04 to ship to a gunsmith in PA. I wish they did like S&W/Walther and sent you a prepaid label. Now I have to fax a copy of my receipt to Eagle Imports and they will send me a cheque....I'll see what happens.
