Long time since ive posted here
Yesterday i shot 2 turkeys first one at 330yrds and second at 315yrds
with my custom rifle in 260 remington
Not quite how you fellas hunt turkeys over there i guess
No rules for turkeys here hence why i could use my 260 also was out looking for deer primarly I normally use 22rf on turkeys

Muznz...Just had to razz you with the post above. Great shooting from that distance. Most turkeys I hunt are within 25 yards +/-...and I use a shotgun.

Shotguns inside of 50, but usually inside of 40 yards with a heavy payload of # 4or #6 shot is the norm over here.

Turkey hunting will be the next biggest in minn after deer soon as they are an exploding population here.

LOL I have yet to see a turkey thread in the "big-game" forum...even though they are classified as a big-game animal.

Where I live...we have to use shotguns, shot no larger then #4s. In some southern states it is legal to use a rifle for turkeys.

well i didn't where in fitted in on this forum since it wasn't bird hunting in the purest sence, Id class them as small game here along with rabbits, possums and hares.
big game to me starts at Goats upto wild cattle i guess
