Not really a recipe...

Anyone ever tried Grand Old Parr Scotch Whiskey? I got a bottle from a student of mine while I was teaching at a military academy about 2 years ago. He was from Colombia and brought it back with him for a Christmas present for me. Just popped it open because my best friend got back from Iraq and came to visit. This is by far the BEST WHISKEY EVER! Does anyone know where to find this whiskey in the US?

R5CYA.. Thanks a lot!!!
Larmus, I have tried Glenlevet as well as other Irish whiskys, GOP beats them all hands down in my opinion! If you like whisky, it would definitely be worth your while to try a bottle. For $45 it is worth every penny!

LOL I'm a cheap redneck with no palate...jim beam is the stuff round here...heck I've drank my share of black velvet, yellowstone, ol' crow, and other rotgut whiskies.

I aint much for canadian mixed whiskey or scotch...prefer tequila or vodka to any whiskey these days.

Thrillbilly, I used to be a huge fan of Jim Beam Black. Went through two and a half handles of the stuff in one weekend once.

I have a confession...I enjoy a Smirnoff Ice now and again..when I want a small drink.
And Boone's Farm makes some tasty beverages as well...albeit a little "sissy" LOL
