Savage M-20. help please

I have a rifle in great condition. The ONLY thing stamped on this weapon is "Savage Model 20" and the serial number "191XX". It has a heavy duty octagon barrel. It is a bolt action. I have no Idea what caliber this rifle is .I have no ammo for this rifle and the weapon has no markings on it to indicate the caliber. I have recently discovered that this is the model 1920 that was made in the .250-3000 and .300 savage. As to which this one is I have no idea. I have not been able to find one with this type of barrel. Although the decorative etching on the barrel matches the etching on the receiver. Also the barrel is only 19" long (from end to where it meets receiver). Any help would be great. Will post some photos shortly

Wierd, the 1920 was only made with a round barrel and the last serial number for a 20/26 was 13004. You sure you got the serial number right?
