Anyone with 6.8 experience?

Just bought my stag lower. Plan on a total stag build in 6.8 for hunting. Anyone already do this? What do you think of it ? Hit or misses? Is the chamber cut for SPC II or DMR? What ammo does it like? Do you reload, what recipees do you like?

I'm pretty sure that they are spec 2 chambers. The only thing negative I've heard about the Stag uppers is they don't cut M4 feed ramps into them, which the 6.8 needs. If you're buying ammo, get it from Silver State Armory, they make the best ammo and the easiest brass to reload. They also sell their brass.

Best load accuracy wise is 90gr TNTs, 29.5gr Reloder 7, SSA Brass, Federal Match primers. I'm getting sub 1/2" groups with those. Hunting, 29.5gr H322, either 110gr Sierra Pro Hunters or Hornady Accubonds. I get 0.6" groups with the Hornadys, about 1" groups with the Sierras.

BTW, head to ..::68FORUMS::.. for a lot of good info specifically on the 6.8.

I picked up a Stag model 5HL 6.8spc upper a few months back and I'm planning on picking up a Stag Arms lower to go with it. Doing it separately because belive it or not I'm saving cash doing it that way.

Got the upper for $520 out the door and can or will be getting the lower out the door for $285 making a grand total of what, $805? Hard to beat that...

Just wish 6.8spc ammo would come down in price.
