Yeah, that satin finish is the result of thousands of microscopic scratches on the case surface, which are just a trap for fine dust, which in turn could contain abrasive materials that could increase wear on the dies. Bling is better.

Or does it polish down rough scratches that would hold MORE dirt and why they aren't shiny?
