I vited for IWB but the more I use my fanny pack the more I like it. I blend in as a tourist or just look like another Key West homo. Either way we have thousands of them.

How come no Shoulder Holster option? I know they aren't for everyone, and they work better in winter when ya wear a coat...but I had one for a ruger .38 and I really liked it. It was a Michael's of Oregon I believe, paid 2$ for it at a yard sale.
General Shoulder holster question:
If the gun has to be concealed, are you only able to use them in winter. I like the idea of the shoulder holster, I think it would be more comfortable than some other options. My reservation is that I don't want to wear a jacket in August in Texas, and if I went with a shoulder holster even in winter, I'd be forced to keep my jacket on at all times.
Pancake or slide on the belt or an IWB if I'm dressed for hot temps. And almost as important for me is a quality belt. A good belt really adds to the comfort of any belt holster.
Rides comfortable and disappears under an un-tucked shirt.
When I'm dressed so that I can't wear a belt holster, I'll use my DeSantis Apache ankle holster or belly band. I also have a .22 mag. NAA mini revolver with a "holster grip".

I had been using this Galco for years with my S&W 4516 but recently decided to change to a 1911 and felt the Blackhawk Serpa was a better choice. It takes a little practice getting used to placing my index finger in the right spot, mainly because I'm so used to using my thumb to release the snap on the Galco . I'm sure with practice, pressing the release on the Blackhawk will become automatic.
Two things to note, the Galco's paddle design is easier to remove from your belt but is still very secure. On the other hand the Blackhawk is also very secure but is much more difficult to get off your belt/pants. If you constantly put on and take off the Blackhawk it is a bit of a pain but that isn't of much concern to me. I like the way the Blackhawk locks the gun in. The other thing, and again I'm not as concerned about it as some may be, the Blackhawk will leave marks on the top of the slide. Probably more on my 1911 because it is a Les Baer that has what they call a bead blasted finish which helps to reduce glare.

You can wear it 3 ways....I'm still testing the waters on this one..lol so far so good.
This is what I have been using. But, first thing I do is remove the clip & use it OWB. I've found two sizes. The one for small to medium frames works well with my PF9 & my 4" Kimber. My two Bersas require the one for large frame because of the dimension from top of the slide to bottom of the trigger guard, but are a little loose. So, just ordered a paddle holster which is specifically for one & will get the Yaqui Belt Slide holster, sized for the other. This will give me a tighter fit.
