I just picked up an M-38 "Husky" at a gun show and need some input on the stock disc markings. I'm familiar with the bore measurement marking and the bore condition marking triangles from the Swede M96's that I have but this one has me stumped.
This one has the bore condition triangle marked with the usual 1-2-3 in the standard positions, but instead of having one small "pointer" stamped over one of the numbers, there is a "pointer" stamped over all three numbers! What does this mean? Did the arsenal have a change of heart and re-numbered them all because they couldn't make up their minds? (LOL) The small "pointer" marks are all identical so it must have been stamped that way at the arsenal. I didn't think the Swedes let anything out unless it was at least a "3" (worn but servicable).
Also, the bore sizing triangle has stamps over both the 1 and 2 -- never seen multiple stampings on the discs like this before.
Appreciate any and all input on this -- I'm now wondering if this barrel is shot out and too worn to be accurate. Any comments?

Thanks, --728shooter
