I got an M6 Scout today...

A friend of Mine wanted to sell this and I bought it...
An M6 Scout in .22 K Hornet / .410 and it came with an M6 Scope on a butchered mount and some Hornet Ammo...

NIIICE!

Except for that scope mount thing, I would be afraid of snaggint it on a twig and twisting the whole thing off... looks like it's ready for a red-dot.

From what I remember, the scope mount was longer than that, but generally they had little stubby scopes you could get from the factory - like those ones mounted on the SKS dust covers.

Nice rifle, I used to have one in .22LR/.410 was great for killer zombie rabbits. Not sure 'bout that scope though, but nice none the less.

Going on 7 months later this old beater still keeps ticking along. She's not been cared for, but the one "see thru" ring holds the scope 2.5x20 I believe) amazingly well. I think due to the small length and light weight of the scope. I can pot snowshoes and grouse out to about 100 yds +/-. The K-Hornet seems to buck the wind better than my 22lr/410. But have not shot a side by side comparison yet. I had a guy (bush-pilot) offer me $350 sight unseen. Said the 22K- Hornets are near impossible to find. Anybody have one, or had one and care to comment ??
