Hello, I'm Steve. I'm a geologist from Ohio and I have an obsession for rifles. Below are some of my favorites:
TOP to BOTTOM: "The Four Horsemen" 6.5mm Italian Carcano (1935), 8mm Turkish Mauser (1940), .22LR Ruger (Stainless), .22SR or LR Winchester Model 67A.
Oh, and let's not forget handguns:
Bersa Thunder .380 - Saved my life.
I joined the U.S. Army straight out of high school (2002) as an Artilleryman (M270 - MLRS), based out of Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. I'm now getting ready to start a doctoral program in geology. I lost a close friend in 9/11 (FDNY Gregory Sikorsky) and another in Iraq (Lance Cpl. Jonathan Edward Etterling) so I may not agree with Washington, but I'll be damned if I'll ever turn my back on the brave men and women that serve and protect our country. I'm slowly trying to build a political career so that I can fight for the rights of every day citizens. My goal is to eliminate the term "homeless veteran" for good.
I come from a military family. My Great Grandpa, Henry Tackett, fought in WW2 in the U.S. Army, and kept fighting after being injured by shrapnel. My uncle, Roger Tackett, enlisted in the Marines, and was subsequently paralyzed by a bullet in Vietnam. Myself, my father, another great grandfather, and several other family members have also served.
Additionally, I have a disabled daughter. She's my everything. I have a small web hosting company as well, so if any of you are interested in hosting or having a website built, just drop me a line.

Welcome to the site. Glad to have another fellow vet here. Thanks for your service.
No need to thank me. Almost everyone contributes to preserving our sovereignty and freedom. The humble farmer raises corn and wheat to feed an army. The union steelworker provides armor for tanks and metal for shell casings. The vigilant scientists develops deadlier weapons and better protection. We survive as a nation when the majority contribute their abilities. I'm glad this forum exists. It's a nice place to learn and share what I've learned.
