Ive been looking for some info on this shotgun pertaining to the brass bushing
that houses the recoil spring assembly. I was told that the bushing can be flipped to accommodate low brass or high brass ammo.
I have been skeet shooting with this gun and have encountered on average
2 miss feeds per round of 25shots using Winchester universal
2-3/4,3dr,1-1/8,7-1/2 shells.
I have recently disassembled the spring and tube assembly for the bolt which is located in the stock, cleaned and lubed. Much gunk there leads me to think
added resistance on the bolt to cycle properly.
I have heard from some co-workers and friends along with reading posts here that this is somewhat common with Rem semi-autos.
I still don't understand how this bushing and its orientation has anything to do with the proper cycling of the ammo Im using. I would think that the
magazine spring and the bolt spring would have more affect for the operation.
I would appreciate If any of you folks could chime in on this and enlighten me.
I hate jams while shooting a round. Puts me in a funk, and a low score!

Is this what your looking for? I have a Sportsman in 16ga and have switched from light loads to slugs. Hope this helps. It shows the bushing setup.
Thanks Marko
That is what I was looking for.
I did lighten the load of the action spring by 1/2lb. The spring is kinked a bit and binding in the tube. It feels much better now. Going to shoot a round of skeet with it this sunday.
