Lightbulb The Horror of Gun Control in Mumbai

"How many Rwanda, Columbine, Virginia Tech, Warsaw Ghetto, post-office, and other shootings do people have to endure before they face reality? How long does it take to learn a simple lesson: unarmed people are more vulnerable to terrorists, criminals, and crazed people than armed ones?"

Yea, it isn;t the people that have to learn it. It's the friggin' politicians and ones writing and voting in the bills as laws and making the restrictions and rules concerning them that have to learn the lesson.

Problem is, if something happens to them or someone, and where a firearm is involved, they still would blame the firearm rather then put the blame where is deserves to be. ON THE ONE PULLING THE TRIGGER. You, I and anyone else with an ounce of common sense knows no gun fires itself.

Politicians are after power and control so a disarmed populous is just great for them.
It seems only one party of politicians are seeking this.

Angry

Keep in mind the very mindset of the typical Politician. They crave POWER above all else. Even acquiring money is merely a stepping stone to power.
A population living in fear is easy to control. They cry for more police, more laws, more Government control of their lives.
Crime and violence are GOOD for the Politician - the more the crime, the more the control he is able to wield over the people. They come to welcome the control, under the delusion that it will protect them.

Now enter the Rugged Individualist who owns firearms and takes responsibility for his own safety - he doesn't need Government Control, indeed he actively repels it. This angers the Politician - so he crafts laws to disarm and weaken the Individualist. If necesary, the Politician will foment feelings among the Great Unwashed Masses that the Individualist is a CRIMINAL, because he will not bow down to Government.

We see this occuring in every nation on Earth, even our own. We alone, of all the nations, remain generally armed and able to resist this tyranny - the big question is - do we have the cojones to resist?
Or do we bow down, hand in our guns and become SHEEP?

One line everyone should remember for those opposed to gun control is the quote from Ghandi. Considering who it's from makes it carry a lot of weight.

The father of Indian independence, Mohandas Gandhi, observed in 1927,
"Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look
upon the act of depriving a whole nation of its arms as the blackest.

I believe that was the whole purpose for that to one of the first things included in the constitution. If you disarm the public and only the goverment has guns then the goverment can do what ever it wants. We as a poeple could revolt all we want but without firearms how could you stop a goverment from forcing its will upon you? It makes you sick to sit by and watch as the goverment trashes the ideals that this counrty was founded on and good men have died to defend. They have already written laws that directly contradict the constitition and its amendments. It is always done in some backhanded way like in the 20's when they decided marijuana show be illegal. They knew they could not just right a law saying it was illegal because that directly contradicts the constitution. So they decided we will make it so you need a tax stamp just like we have now for cigarrettes and alcohol except they had no intention of ever producing the stamps making them impossible to get. So then when you had the marajuana without the stamp it was a tax issue that you would be arrested for. Just wait and see. If they decide to come after gun owners they will pull something along these lines I guarentee.

You only have the Rights you use.

You only keep the Rights you fight for.

To the contrary, as we can not defend ourselves, we become even more depended upon their "fine services."
