Not many that is for sure.

I'm from an antigun family and am looking to learn. So if you are going in deep and need someone to pack out a quarter, let me know.

Here in Ventura county the best deer hunting seems to be in Fillmore and the los padres NF north if here. On public land the deer seem small and few.

Zone A has deer season early, like Aug thru Sept. at dfg.ca.gov you can download the 2010 Hunting digest. The NF should be available except for fire closures. this site for the LP NF can lead to the closure dates and areas.
