A New Face

Hello!

I'm Jester, a freelance writer in Colorado. My interest in the history of the mafia, combined with my penchant for creative fiction, has led me here. Two minutes with me in any conversation about firearms will tell you that I generally don't know my butt from a buttplate about most weapons, but in my stories and creative works, I like to be as accurate as I can. I don't want to write a story where someone fires a .22 and the target explodes, y'know?

Anyway, that's mostly the reason I'm here: to learn about firearms, especially those that tend to be more expensive. I will then take ideas based on real-life weapons and often create my own to achieve the "cool" factor for my story. I'm a friendly sort who likes to have good conversations, so if you're ever curious about anything, let me know.

Right now I'm not getting paid enough, but one of these days I'd like to start collecting various firearms. I've got a few ideas in mind about what I'd like to make a few themed collections, based on the real-life counterparts to some weapons used in certain games and movies that I'm a fan of.

Jester

Welcome JesterKing. There's a sticky thread in the general firearms forum on rifles about firearms terminology and acronyms that you might find useful.
