Sgt. H.F. Nichols 82nd Abn. WW2

Here is a photo taken in North Africa of my Father,,,he served in the 82nd Airborne,,,505th parachute infantry regiment during WW2,,,Purple Heart,,,Bronze Star,,,enlisted in USAF after WW2 and served a total of 30 years until retiring,,,,

One of the things that I noticed when I saw the pics of the real guys in Band of Brothers, and other AB units from WWII is those guys weren't only heroes, they even looked like heroes. If you called Hollywood and said send me a group that look like war heroes they could have used the real people. When I was a kid I bird hunted with a man that was in the 101st in Normandy (I thought he was an old man, he was probably 35:-) that used a whistle to call his Brittanies that he took off a German POW. I was about 7. I worshipped him.

Please thank your Father for being one of the few to strike down the second coming of the Hun.

As to Band of Brothers I think they did pretty good for a movie series and for the gentlemen/heroes they had to represent.
