Gotta break it up!

would you go with a 408 Chey Tac a 50 BMG or a 375 Chey Tac? You can only have just one so do not get greedy!

.408 Chey Tac!
And not only because .50 BMG's are too evil to be had in CA.

I would go 375. You can get some custom bullets that have some insane ballistic coefficients.

I myself have to go with the 375 Chey Tac it is still supersonic until 3000 yards! with bullets that have B.C. of 1.1 it literally floats in the air waiting to be pushed!

I know nothing about those calibers...
A) because I foresee no use for one
B) I couldn't afford the rifle OR the ammo

So I'll go with _______ (I'm sure ya'll know what is in the blank LOL)

p.s. I haven't even heard of the chey tacs? until right now in this thread. I try not to discuss things I'm ignorant about. LOL

There isn't really a use for them unless you want to shoot at really absurdly looooong distances.

Seeing as how the only range near me is 100yds., and I don't have, nor do most people, anywhere to shoot the kind of long range needed for this or even a .50BMG is capable of reaching out to, and that makes it, for me anyhow, a mute point.

And like thrillbilly, I couldn't afford the rifle let alone the ammo either. lol

But it would be a blast to shoot either of them just once...

Do I get the fancy computer for long long distance shooting like Mac had on future weapons, If so I'll take the .408. 3 hits on a 15inch square at 2500+ yards is most impressive.

I have the capability to reach 3K yards, I just do not have the money to invest. I just see everyone doing the 308 vs 30-06, I wanted to spice things up. I have seen the 375 Chey Tac in action and it is cake to hit at 1k yards I wish I had money

I saw the .408 with all the computers and wind gauges needed for long distance for about $12,000. I think i'd buy quad and drive closer for my shooting, with $8,000 left to put in my pocket.

I'd go with the .408, they invented it to be the best longe range sniping round; and it is.

I guess one advantage of living in the Desert is the fact that it's pretty wide open and I could shoot for very long distances if I so chose to do so. However I don't have the money nor the desire to own one of those rifles. I haven't read up on these cartridges enough to know which one is the most bestest. Go with the .416 Barret.

338 RUM- Where BC is measured as 1 being perfect, how do you end up with 1.1 ?? It does not exist mathematically in ballistic equations.
