I have to vote for all three! The first two seriously, and the last one because big bottoms increase the need for largeness and largess in everything, thus increasing consumption of resources and amount of pollution produced.
Moderation in all things is the way to go. Anarchy does not rule, but we need minimalist government. This is a government employee speaking, BTW, since I teach in a public school.
We don't really need Government Motors or General Motors the way it used to be back when the government was hesitant to take GM to court because GM could afford better lawyers. We don't need Walmart or other giant corporations limiting individual enterprise by unfair competive means. Dumping does not have to be an international thing. We don't need ridiculous things like redlight cameras accompanied by altered light timing serving as a revenue source for cities and towns, nor do we need speed traps that do nothing but support an overly large police department that does nothing but write tickets for traffic violations. I just can't vote on this one unless you let me vote for 2 of them.

the greatest threat to our country and way of life is the American voter. dumb thinking, idealistic, and dreamers will vote all the time for those that want to disrupt the nation because they think they are getting something for nothing.
we are doomed

Kindly note it is the unholy alliance between BIG BUSINESS and BIG GOVERNMENT (via campaign kash, buying votes, etc.) that has gotten us into the mess we now have. I'm including the trial lawyers associations, etc. in the realm of "big business."

Without law, we are all at the mercy of the most powerful among us. That's how fuedalism worked when wealth was based on land. Everyone was essentially the property of the duke or the king. In the 19th century when wealth and power was based on cash, most people who worked for a living lived as serfs in an industrial fuedalism. "I work 15 hours and what do I get? Another year older and deeper in debt."
To stop a school hard bully, one needs the intervention of a bigger kid who is on our side. Multinational corporations who control tremendous amounts of wealth and yield great power here and especially abroad are very large bullies indeed. (I don't mean their business is necessarily evil, but the way they make everyone else their servants is.) Their owners have no loyalty to anyone but themselves or to any nation. The ultra-rich who control things here are the same people who control things in China. The average big company CEO makes over 400x what its lowest paid worker makes. In England, it's 24x. In Sweden, it's 12x. In western Europe, they get universal health care and several weeks of mandatory paid vacation. Here we are litterally working ourselves to make our rulers ever richer.
To stop a really big bully, one needs really big law. Big government is not the problem. They are all that stand between us and corporate fuedalism. Government certainly can be abusive, but at least they have some accountability in the form of elections. OTOH, big business sees us as nothing more than hands for working and mouths for consuming.
You can use any label you want to attack this idea. That will not change the fact that we are all serfs in fact if not in name.

Deep13 and SwedeSteve summed up my view. yes, by definition all governments are fascist (no one actually likes having to go out and try to get votes). However, ours (this or the last) is better than most. term limits need to be introduced. and multinational companies who outsource jobs need to be held accountable.

Anyone here noticing the parallels between the period 1880-1900 and today? Yes, there are more intersting things to buy and yes, more people own their own homes - at least for the moment - but how much social mobility is there and how likely is the next generation to do better than yours?

My friend, you answered your own question in the question. Unfortunately, it will stop in Hell, or when America is made to resemble Hell.

I have witnessed first hand the extreme spending and poor decisions in my time.
Go look at the governments spending for toilet seats, bolts and nuts and a million other
things that they have bought with our money....It goes something like this.. penny wise pound foolish...A moron could do better at spending than our government...
This has always been our biggest threat.............

You are dead right here Earl. Our government is simply not accountable for their actions and spending. No accountability is the problem. We the people have as yet been unable to hold their feet to the fire since they write the laws and the loopholes.

Papa G you sir are entirely correct. We live in a representative democracy, and those idiots under the dome can only get away with what we allow them to get away with. The American people have been asleep at the switch and have forgotten their responsibility.
