Have we answered the question of the Pardner Pump-870 mods? My brother gave me one for Christmas a few years ago (it is a family tradition that SOMEONE gets a gun for Christmas every year).
So I have an H&R 1871 (or whatever Chinese knock-off of the Rem 870 it is) under my couch. I have so many good shotguns that this one would be about the 20th choice for a field gun that it is relegated to under-the-couch duty. It would be better wiht pistol grip and tactical slide, etc.
Anyone know how easy it is to convert these? Are they close enough to the 870 to accept the dame parts?
Thanks, guys. It's doing it's job in the stock configuration, but I'm always open to a project!

It's very easy to convert. Anything that will fit the 870 will fit the Pardner. As for it being a under the couch duty gun, that's a waste of a place to put for a front line shotgun

I've got the 20ga. and it is well built and built like a tank. I also have 2 870 12ga.
With the reciever being squared off at the back of the reciever would'nt it be difficult
to try to install stocks that fit 870's ???
It does'nt look like you can....Maybe the inards of the shotgun is whats similer to the 870 and thats it because the magazine holds one more round than the 870.
I would compare your Pardner to an 870 before ordering anything...A.H
