Exclamation FYI 995 Tip

LOL this may be well known...but ya can take a elastic shotgun shell butt carrier, and 2 or 3 HP995 mags will fit in it. Makes a handy addition to the carbine...2 extra mags right at your fingerprints! I used a older one that was stretched slightly...but the mag wedged right in the shell loop nice and snug. Y can only get 3 in it though...not one in each of the 5 loops...I have a mag in each end loop and one in the middle loop.

Mine looks about like this one...just under 6$ at Wal-Mart.

Eh, I buy jeans with pockets, solves that problem.

I don't know, but my 995 isn't a gun I feel the need to have extra mags strapped to. It's a plinker, which means we're usually shooting from a bench, don't need to haul magazines. Now my M1 carbine, well, it's meant to have extra mags on the stock! Wouldn't look right without a pouch! Mine even has a pouch on the sling, rifle and five 15-round magazines in one hand. And, in an emergency, I'd tromple all over my 995 to get to the M1.

But that's a cool idea if a person wanted to do that! Extra mags are always good, sure wouldn't hurt. I just wish they held more rounds and were easier to find.

I keep mine in the trunk of my car...kind of a "Oh Bleep" thing. I wanted something to keep the ammo handy, I don't keep it loaded because of the law...so I wanted to be able to grab it and go without looking for the mags. LOL ya know how messy car trunks can get, I'd be looking for the mags for 5 minutes what with all the purses, umbrellas, tool bag, ice scrapers, and other assorted crap my wife keeps back there! I bought it mainly for that purpose...something to keep in the rig, without being expensive in case it gets stolen.

You must not have the tacticool factory buttstock cover that holds a magazine on either side!

Got mine for free along with one magazine, do I need to mention how wonderful their customer service is?

I am seriously considering a pistol now that they are back on the shelves... I can think of an excuse for another plinker.

just get a small binocular case and it will hold 4 or 5 mags easy. i keep 4 stare glock mags in mine but being the highpoint mags are skinnier i think it would hold 5 or 6 easy and they have belt loops built in .
