Fishing for Criminals

Here's the latest example of what the British Police think about your rights.

You rent a safe deposit box for your valueables then have the police seize them & keep them until you can prove ownership!!!!!???

Guilty until you can prove yourself innocent. I think it's such a breach of your liberties that the cops in charge & the Judge who signed the warrant should join the ranks of the unemployed, without pensions. This is going to cost the taxpayer more in lawsuits than the cops have recovered from the criminals.

Could never happen in the USA, could it?

Everyday here. Any cash transaction of $10,000 means you will get the Federal Govts attention. If any LEO finds a large amount of cash on your person, they can confiscate it until you prove how you came by it legally.
