Since you said gun, I guess it would be my Ruger P-89 9mm. Cheapest rifle to shoot is my Marlin .30-30 Win

Mosin, easy. Maybe once I get into reloading, I'll get into the couple of pennies per shot deals.

Difficult to really say these days, I still have a couple of hundred old 7.62 ammo that cost me the equivalent of 5 cents/round but once that's gone it's up to the 25 cents/round stuff I bought a few years ago before the prices skyrocketed and the well ran dry. Wished I hadn't only bought 5k the last time. Reloading costs me around 30cents/100 and goes up every time I buy new components.

Pistol my Ruger P89;rifle is a little hard to say as none of them are really economical to shoot but since I reload for my .30-06 it would probably the cheapest.

Not until you post the cost for a quarter ton of river rock (large) We will then do the math.

o.k. i'll bite. how can you shoot your .45 colt for three cents a shot?
last time i checked, primers were more than that. if you didn't bother to use any powder or bullets, i still can't see it.

Thumbs up

Cheapest would be my BRNO ZBK110 singleshot in .22 Hornet. Very economical. And being a stiff singleshot, I don't burn through too many shells in a range visit.

My mosin in 7.62x54r using bulgarian surplus. It comes out to about $0.30 per round. It would be cheaper if I bought it online vs. my local gun store though.

You owe us a range report on that K-Hornet.I just headshot a 10lb woodchuck at 216 laser yds with my old Savage M219 26"bbl using a 6.5X20 Nikon scope and reload of 11.5gr IMR4227 and a 40gr V-Max at around 2800fps on the chrony. This cost 1primer $.02,one powder ghg,?,one bullet about $.15.I wonder how much difference there is in that and a K-Hornet? ,,,sam.

Well I suppose that is a bit misleading huh? I snagged 1000 WLP for $35 then i divided and rounded down. I'm using range scavenged brass which is a touch of a problem (Lee case trimmer won't fit in the nickel cases), I've got 5# of Bullseye a friend gave me because his grandfather had it and he didn't think that he'd need it for pistol loads in a year, and i've got free reject 200gr .451 SWC that the shooters on my bullseye team say don't shoot well in their match pistols. When i run out of components i'll have to do real math. Second cheapest in the safe right now would be either .30 carbine or .30-30 (cast).

Definitely my Mosin. About $0.19 a round. Then my SKS at about $0.20-0.22 per round.
