Ok so he bought it buuut...... he's a lefty, and its not so now he wants something to deflect the brass to go across his nose not up it lol. It came with a universal bipod, a red dot sight, 1 30 round mag. It can fire both 223 and 556 and has a 20" heavy barrel.
They make an upper for the 7.62x25 round and a lower conversion that will accept the clips for it. I recently read about it and the pros for it was because the round has higher ballistic capabilities than the pistol rounds (9mm or 40sw) it was more accurate at 100+ yards and the surplus rounds would make it cheaper to shoot. the higher round would have a similar kick to the .223 i believe and if you researched this option I think your Dad would be excited... toss some vietnam era stocks on it and sounds like the gift you wanted
