Only One Handgun

If you could only keep one of your lovelies, what would it be ?? Think long and hard. Not just a CCW, but maybe a gamegetter, or a dual purpose handgun.

I'm sure it would take game and be a dual purpose role.

For me, it would be my Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt, it can be easily harvest deer and hogs with the right loads, as well as serve a role as a self defense firearm.

It's a difficult choice, but it would have to be my Ruger New Vaquero in .45 Colt. Nicknamed "Dixie Belle". I flipping love that gun, even though she is made of stainless, which I don't particularly like, she works perfectly, cleans easily and shoots straight.

GP 100. Small enough that it can work for CCW if hidden right, powerful enough to be a man stopper no matter who the man may be and should be able to take on most game with the right loads.

Heretical as this may sound, my customized S&W Model 10-5. Yes, it's a .38 Special revolver; but I can shoot better with it than any other pistol I own, and ultimately that's what counts.

SW 686+ in .357 mag. Seven shots, dead-nutz accurate, 4" barrel with Hi-Viz sight.

My Ruger P-90.It' s bulky for CCW but I can drop it in the mud,run over it with a truck then throw it out a 3 story window,Pick it up and fire it.Makes a good combat handgun.

I had one of those once. Not pretty, but reliable and nearly indestructible.

Swede you're not making it easy on us who have many favorites. If I had to only have one(I hope it never comes to that) and it has to be one I currently own then I would have to pick my Kimber Stainless Target II in 10MM. As much as I love my Bisley 5.5" 45 colt it's a little big to try and conceal. The 10mm will take game and yet can be concealed.

My one and only .45 SA SS Loaded Champ. I put one Berry's 185 HBRN inside another one yesterday at the hunting camp. Dug it out of a stump.

I think I would go with my .357 DW with 3 different barrels. I can carry it concealed with a short barrel, open with an intermediate one, and hunt with a long one with scope if need be. It's plenty strong for loading heavy if I want. Besides, it's a nice looking gun.

I'd take my GP100 as well.

Mine is .357, with a 4 inch barrel, adjustable sights, blued finish, and old style grips.

It's just a great gun that looks great and works like a champ.
