Just one a Tikka T3 Lite 270WSM shot a 3 shot group of less than an inch at the range today. So now I know I am ready for deer season next week and any misses won't be the rifles fault!!! I was using Hornady 130 GR Interbonds with 66 grains of H4831.

Since this is an "early" group for your rifle, I bet that a little tuning of your loads, (bullet seating, velocity, etc) will improve this fine group.

Good Morning
I hope you can help. I have in my possession a Sako Riihimaki No 34480, Cal. Remington 222, on a Marlin Varmint barrell. The scope is a Lyman 2 1/2 power Alaskan, dot retical. I can't locate any model number, I belive it to be mid 50s rifle. What I need is a Magazine. I have been all over the net and gun shows with no success. Thanks for any help LaFrance S.

Sounds like a great "all a round" American rig. You will like it.

start a new thread under the Sako section. Provide pictures and descriptions and I am sure one of us will know what it is. Welcome to Gun and Game!

Back to this thread,
I have a Tikka T3 Lite in .308win. I can shoot sub-MOA at 100yds with handloads in it. Falcon 4.5-18x56mm scope, Harris swivel bipod, Burris x-treme tactical rings, and an EGW 1-Piece Picatinny base.

Thumbs up Tikka T3 lite stainless 300 WSM

I bought a 300WSM on Black friday this year, put a 3-9 X32 Tasco junk scope on it, Took 3 shots @ 50 yards dialed in scope and put 6 shots in the bulls eye @ 100 yards all within about an hour and a half with Winchester 150 grain factory loads....not bad just out of the box..

Shot my 1st 7 point with it in december @ 170 yds...awsome gun great groups... extreme accuracy looking forward to reloading some hand loads for it soon...

Excellent rifle for the price the only downfall i have with it is synthetic stock

I have a Tikka T3 Lite .223 Rem, black synthetic, new in box. Need to get it scoped and ready to take a few coyotes at the ranch. They are thick this year.

Declining sako quality

I have 2 trg-s sakos. One is a .270 win. The other a .300 win. Mag. Both are tackdrivers. Also have a 75 from first year of production in 25-06. All 3 of these rifles have true less than 1/2 moa potential. Also have a late 90's tikka 7mm-08. It's very easily under moa performer. Bought a 75 finnlight in 300 wsm in 2006. It was junk. Some loads were 4 + inches at 100 yards. Beretta had it for almost a year before my constant calling got them to send me my $$$ back. Thought i'd give them another try and bought an 85 grey wolf in .338 federal. So far 150+ rounds downrange. 4 different powders, 6 different bullets, 1 group of three shots that was an honest inch. What gives beretta???? I don't think i'll ever buy another new sako again. What a shame!!!

If this had been your "second" post, I would have found twice as much credibility.

Sako "second post"

I absolutely do love my older sakos. I'm just frustrated at the last two i have bought and was wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences as of late.

i don't know why my remarks aren't credible. It's the truth. I just am wondering if others have had some bad luck with their beretta era sakos.
