The notion that brick architecture played a vital role in the defeat of the German Six Army is rather laughable...

These structures also served as a strategic defensive line for the Wehrmacht as well; as entire sections of the city changed hands overnight....

In fact, had not the Volga frozen and the ability to supply the Red Army would have diminished the defensive forces to resist ....

A modern army losses much of its offensive capacity when fighting in an urban setting....

The sending of Army Group B, to the Caucasus was a military blunder, as well as advancing onto Stalingrad....The Six Army, as well as Army Group B, should have bypass Stalingrad and engaged the enemy in the field..

STALINGRAD - LINKING RESEARCHER. COLLECTORS AND GAMERS TO THE STALINGRAD BATTLE
actually they didnt say it was the brick at all they said it was from the reinforced concrete that could take on holes and still hold the structure together.....makes total sense to me.

Dang I thoroughly enjoyed that! Something that did strike me as not quite right was their test of the gun grease. They should have used a K98 for the Germans instead of the 91/30. Of course the 91/30 would still function. That's why they were made so loose.

That striked me as odd, too. I'm curious as why they didn't use a k98. Maybe because they are too much money for them! Also, the 91/30 still functioned because it is just that awsome, and not because it was made loose!
