You have to ask yourself, why did the two daughters of Obama not get it? Glad you read about the cheerleader. She is permanently messed up.
The govt and military will get a safer version than the general population.
Too many questions remain unanswered. Talking about high pressure sales, the are scaring people into it. Don't let fear make you do it.
You're not a doctor yet you're speaking about the vaccine as though you really know about it. This kind of information is dangerous. Tuberculosis is a bacteria, mycobacteria if you will. Influenza is a virus. You just don't get those two things mixed up. Stop spreading the lies you read on inflammatory websites.

AttaDoc TexasT! Already got the seasonal and I'll get the H1N1 when it's available. I'm in a pretty low risk age group, finally a benefit to getting older, (other than not being dead)

I am not a doctor but I play one on T.V.......all kidding aside no I will not take the vaccine there are well documented cases of well trained and well meaning doctors who have given out meds and vaccines that have had unexpected and undesirable consequences and frankly I just ain't that afraid of the flu.....swine or otherwise.......

I won't. I don't think there is any conspiracy involved with it, but I traditionally do not get a flu shot, and have remained healthy. I don't think I could get the H1N1 flu shot anyways. I am in my 20's, don't have any health problems. Probably wouldn't qualify. However, if my college had an outbreak and they were making vaccines available, I would go for it.

As to the question, I'm not getting the H1N1 shot because I have a choice and that's my choice. As to the seasonal flu shot, never had it, never will. Besides, as to the seasonal flu, I've had it before so I think my immune system is pretty to take that one on. And, as a child, I was raised at a time when parents didn't take their kids in to the doctor for every fart stuck cross ways and so therefore I never got a lot of antibiotics and therefore my body was able to develop it's own good and strong immune system.

Also, simply put, I choose to put my life in God's hands... And whether or not I get the shot, my life is already planned out and he's the planner, so, nuff said...

I'm not a doctor either, but I did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night. Maybe deersniper did as well?

Interesting considering you haven't examined her. Your clairvoyant powers must be very strong. Her doctors seem to think differently, but clearly you know better than them being an advocate of the vaccine.

Your post pretty much sums up most of what is wrong with medicine today. Opinions being propagated as facts. You also prove my point by admonishing another poster in you next post for spreading opinions as facts.

The vaccine may very well be safe, but it IS NOT 100% safe, and if you say it is you are simply lying as no vaccine is 100% safe.

I am book marking this thread, to see who makes it to the next summer...

If you stop transmitting, I will assume you either died from the vaccine or the swine flu....

Nope. Never had a flu vaccine never will. Whats the point. Most everybody I know who has had a vaccine had the flu worse than I did.

I get the seasonal flu shot every year as my workplace provides it for free (well, free to me).
As for the Piggy flu, doubt it unless it is free.

I personally seriously question your credibility in making such a "diagnosis" but do not mean this in a mean way. I just myself haven't seen what I would consider to be any type of qualified remarks by you in any way at any time which would indicate anything but a cursory knowledge of anything psychological. Additionally, your seeming inability to see through psychological "tricks" of media campaigns or cult-like effects/indoctrination (of which I have some definitive background and understanding) does not further my personal assessment of your credibility in the field--quite the opposite. Even a student of history with no special skills (without any formal psychological training which I'd expect anyone in the medical field to have had) can see parallels of propaganda/information manipulation and attempts at group manipulation by the current regime or at least have a basic understanding of how this works. You can take that for what it's worth and again I don't mean it in a mean spirited way; only that I wouldn't accept your opinion in the matter as "expert" in any way.

As far as the shot itself, neither myself nor my wife (being healthy middle-aged adults) at this point have a compelling reason to get it at this point with the risks of the current strain--not that this makes much difference in that the vaccine has been largely unavailable to us in our area. I think it likely the situation will resolve itself before we could get it anyhow.

As a side note, this bungling of the whole "epidemic" thing by HHS is further evidence we should have our gov't NO WHERE NEAR health care. A relative did contract the H1N1 overseas in Japan, where he was given immediate care and recovered almost immediately (they were VERY well equipped to deal with it, and the good thing is he now has the antibodies developed so he won't need the vaccine later).

I wouldn't avoid the vaccine any more than I would a normal flu vaccine (and the bottom line is it is YOUR CHOICE) and it may well be worth getting--I just wouldn't go out of my way to get it unless I had other risk factors involved. It's disconcerting how badly we've screwed this up thanks to HHS, and I really have little confidence in them whatsoever.

No I will not. The reason being is I personally know someone who was paralyzed from the flu shot. It was confirmed buy her doctor. She was in perfect health before the flu shot. Her Doctor said he had many patience's that were paralyzed or now have permanent damage from the flu shot. If it is in fact only so many people out of a million that are affected. Why then does this one doctor have as he put it "many patience's" that have been affected. He also told her and her son (my brother in law) that he personally would never take it or let his family take it. This is not something I heard on the net. This is fact not speculation or conspiracy rumors. I'm not trying to persuade anyone. I'm just giving Chris my answer that he wanted. I respect everyone's right to make their own decision.
