Gave in and ordered my Slim

I came about one on Gun Broker that was $345 delivered to my dealer. My dealer gets $30.00 and that counts the background call in. This is for the stainless one too. At the end of the day it will cost me $375 to walk out the door with a brand new in the box stainless Slim with two magazines. That is the cheapest I've seen them in a while. Even Bud's was $380 plus the $30 my dealer gets and this seller on Gun Broker had great ratings and has been trading there for years. I read all his feedback and saw nothing negative. I'm pretty excited. Going up to Central FL in 2 weeks. I hope it ships fast. There is a great little range I found in Leesburg. I'd love to put 500 or so rounds through my new toy that week.

Post up how it does for you. Despite buying the PPS, I'm still curious about the 709.

I'll report my experience as soon as I take her out. It was a tough decision between the PPS and Slim but I have spent a lot of money on guns over the past year with the "Obama Scare" so I had to think budget on this one. If all else fails I still have my XD .40 Subcompact that makes a great carry gun.

Oh, I don't think you could've made a bad choice either way. But I'm eager to see your impressions of it.

Congrats. Never shot one but handled one at a gun show. Felt great. I have heard some really good things about them. As you pointed out yourself (KW) in a former thread, Combat Handguns Magazine gave them a thumbs up.

What do the dealers get there? Down here $30 is dirt cheap. Another place in Key West gets $75. One in Big Pine Key, about 30 miles away from KW gets $50. $8.00 of that is for The State of Florida. I think EVERYTHING costs more in Southern FL.

Hope you enjoy it ! Happy shooting !

Can't have too many pistols.

I haven't seen CT's for the small frame Taurus autoloaders.

I don't see one on Crimson's website. I think the slim will be a more up close and personal gun. I like the laser as an added "defense without shooting" tool. In most cases if you put that red dot on someone's heart they will back down. The gun fight where everyone wins is when everyone walks away safe and nobody has to fire a gun.

Must be a regional thing. The guy who charges $30 is the cheapest around here. $8 of that goes to The State of Florida but still not bad for him. He gets $22 for receiving a piece of mail. As I said before. One place here charges $75. Everything costs more when you live on an island.

I was talking to a friend of mine via email this morning. She and her husband were going shooting at an indoor range in Paris, KY. Of course, I asked her the name and it's Bud's.

I never put together that Bud's online is actually located a mere hour from me. D'oh.

And they have an indoor range!
