Parallels to Nazi Germany is History Repeating?

Has anyone else seen many parallels to 1930's Nazi Germany to current day America? I have been seeing parallels even before the election, primarily from how the Obama campaign used it's propaganda and it's influence upon the population. However, now I am seeing the true colors of totalitarianism within this government, unfolding itself right in daylight. History will always repeat itself, that's a fact of human nature. The progressive movement towards a totalitarian state is in fact natural, and the fall of such system is also inevitable and usually leads to a re-structuring of society. Over a certain period of time, when a government is in existence it becomes larger and more unstable, predominantly it becomes oppressive over time and reaches a brink point of complete tyranny then falls. Such as the Roman Empire did, ironically when our founding fathers created this nation they knew a Republic would eventually dissolve into tyranny then collapse. America being the worlds greatest superpower has been growing at an exponential rate and has become more oppressive over time, we are beginning to see the chink in the armor. Tyranny will eventually fully display itself then collapse and we will build a new nation from the ground up.

All those who say this is a tinfoil hat conspiracy, the government isn't bad, they just are trying to help us, health care is needed, are all living in some strange fantasy land, the outer limits, or perhaps the twilight zone. Throughout history we have seen people with the same ideological mind set, they ignore what is in front of them and toss it aside as if it was lunacy. These are the same people whom have allowed oppression, turn the other cheek, and label anyone that has an opposing view, un-patriotic, ignorant, hateful, etc.

I'll see it when someone can make us all believe that the cause of our troubled economy is due to illegal immigration and start rounding up all 12 million illegals, put them in camps and start to systematically gas them. The comparision is obsurd and an uneducated statement. I think you need to go back and read some history before posting somthing this obsurd. There is no Communist party here the uneployment rate is not at the 30% rate we were not recenty completely humiliated in a world war and then made the scapegoat for the whole thing and forced to pay for it. So I ask in what way are the circumstances here in the United States similar to Germany in the 30's that made the people turn to Socialism as a way out of the horrible times that the country was going through?

YES, Bush2 and Obama are, despite what people might wish to think, very similar.

For Bush2 it was all about creating greater and greater police power, warrantless searches of people for the sake of searching, keeping suspected enemies in prison without either trial or conviction in a court of law, and so on and on and on . . .

For Obama it is about crushing viewpoints differing from his objectives.
Obama is more and more moving beyond Federalist elitism toward Marxism.

There are many parallels that I have noticed in the last few weeks that are disturbing to me, and no we are not gonna kill Jews or Illegals.

As far as the police state goes. I think it is heading in that direction. It may never fully be like the police state NAZI Germany was but it is getting there. I think it was more of the Bush administration implementing the patriot act and the supreme court ruling that police can use evidence found in a home, for example, even if they didn't have a warrant in the first place. It is better for the police to get criminals and have evidence against them but now there isn't much stopping them from doing warantless searches on any citizen. That, is why we are heading in the direction of a police state. As far as Obama goes, he doesn't have the cajones to do anything Hitler did and I don't see any camps or roundups happening either. I would be very surprised if that happened and I sure wouldn't go silently like the poor souls did during the rule of the third reich. The economy is in shambles, but we are not exterminating anybody...
