Big Brother is watching...

A friend of mine sent this to me. It's a site that annually ranks the extent to which people have privacy in their lives from governmental intrusion. I knew it was getting worse out there, but I had no idea!

Look at the charts and see where your country ranks. I don't think you are going to like it much. I know I didn't.

That is nothing new, and that is a 2007 ranking I wonder what our ranking is today?
A buddy tells me that Big Brother can even listen in on our cell phones & land line phones when we are not talking on them.
Why do you think Big Brother was in such a hurry to get cell phone GPS up & going?
He tells me that if your cell phone battery just out of the blue goes dead for no reason, you have been taped into.
But what can you do;
Take your battery out of your cell phone just every now and then.
Or switch phones every so often & keep the other at home in a drawer full of clothes.
Unplug your phones at home just let the answering machine (if your machine doesn't have a eavesdropping feature) get the calls & then call them back.
This the information age and believe me Big Brother is locked on to all the information they can get GOOD OR BAD.

A friend purchased a new Chevy pickup but was so paranoid about Big Brother, he tore out the On Star system. The problem is, now, all the warning lights and dash lights are screwed up as he did not know what he was doing. As GW Bush said about warrantless wiretaps and searches,"If you're not doing something illegal, why should you worry?" The chickens have come home to roost and the cuckoos are not far behind.

Now On star has the ability to shut the power off to your vehicle and can track your every move. I have also read that newer cell phone technology being developed will use your camera to take pics and send the information since gps tracking needs obscured access to the sky for the satellites to track you. With the cam they can take pics of your surroundings and the software can distinguish whether it's a bar/restaurant or church. The article I read was on AP a few weeks ago.

I'm sure not surprised the USA is the same color on the chart as Europe.

I knew things got worse once the traffic cameras started popping up all over the place. You know they're being used for far more then catching bad drivers and issuing tickets. That's just a bonus and way for cites, counties and states to raise revenue and take even more of our money. Kind of hard to argue with a picture. lol

I mean, it can't tell you were in the intersection when the light turned red and had to proceed making your left turn or otherwise block traffic. So when that light turns red adn your car was snapped in the image turning left on/at a red light, who you going to argue with? lol

So when you're at a traffic light and the guy in front of you won't creep out there a little more so you don't get stuck at the light for a 3rd, 4th or 5th time, just look and see if it's a traffic camera monitored light and you'll know why.

But yea, big brother has been creeping more and more into our lives. Another reason I'm not even a big fan of these social networking websites like MySpace and FaceBook. You know someone is even monitoring those and keeping information. Same with this site and others like it I'm sure.

I even had to find a different gun shop to buy guns at because the guy went to this system and uses the biometrics portion when you buy a gun. He says it's to speed things up and keep his inventory correct. I said yea, but if the ATF or BATFE ever shuts you down, they get all that. He tried to tell me no and I said I beg to differ. If it pertains to your guns, they'll take it. It's not that I have something to hide or anything like that, I just don't like to offer up anything I don't have to. I tried to tell him that the fact it has an electronic 4473 form that gives the ATF and or BATFE a right to it and any information and anyone linked with it...

But I think in time all FFL's will be required to use this or something like it???Then, we'll have no choice. And I think if and when this happens, they'll also make it so even private sales must be done through an FFL???

But yea, they went to this thing so I won't buy a forearm there anymore...
