I have read some fantastic reviews on the .223 and on the .308 Win. chambered SAIGA's.
My intrest is in the 7.62x39. More to the point, how it groups at 100 yards.
I know there will be some large differences between cheap com-block ammo and USA made, brass cased, $15.00/box "premium" ammo.
I am interested in ALL the loads.
I will also be aquireing a reloader in the near future, so reload's can be included in this also. ( If so, please specify powder type/wt and bullet make/wt)
With my old Yugo SKS (see avatar for pic) useing Wnchester Super X, with the gas block shut off, I was able to get consistent 1.5" groups, whith often 1" 3-shot groups.
Does the SAIGA stand a chance at competing with this?
I have found one used, in orriginal configuration, with 3-9X x 32mm scope, an extra mag (10 rd??? ), Butler Creek sling and ????? brand bipod for $325.00 plus tax & call-in fees.

Yes, you can expect around the same amount of accuracy you have been getting with the SKS. My particular Saiga 7.62 came with a grouping from the factory of 300 something mm, scoped I can get around 1.5-2" groups at 100, sometimes better.

What kind of ammo do you use to get the 2" group?

Ya, you have to remember that these are not kit guns, they are not built off of demilled rifles etc. The fact that everything is new means that they are built with the tightest tolerances you will find from an AK.
