Some parts are not marked. This leaves you with the burden of proof. Most gas pistons i've seen are not marked.

this is why no tool box is complete without a good set of steel stamping dies.

SB, the parts can be marked with something other than US as well, Century marks with a circle "C" and they are US made parts. As far as the magazine parts, check K-Var, I believe they have all the parts.

If you purchased it from the importer, or your dealer did, you can probably safely assume it is in 922(r) compliance. What type of rifle is it? All you need for compliance is trigger group (3 parts) and US stock set (2 parts, 3 with pistol grip).

By an official authority?

Only time I have ever heard of anyone having a rifle checked is when they were in some sort of trouble.

Ya, the Red Star Arms axis plates are much easier to use. Give them a call if you ever order from them though. THey apparently run two different companies and the Red Star orders have to wait to be sent over to the business that actually has the parts so if you order from the other you get faster shipping

Cussing, lots of cussing, and if you can do it in Romanian so much the better.

Seriously, I think that's all there is to it.

Take a punch or phillips head and give them a good solid smack with a hammer.

Copes distributing has us made floorplates for ak-74 mags. Maybe I should not advertize it so I can buy more of them myself.. LOL
Also, lets say you start with a forgein part and modify it a lot for something, would it be considered a US part after a lot of work went in to in in the USA?

Ya sometimes it requires a really good pounding. The first time I replaced the trigger on my WASR I ended up leaving indents in the pins I had to hit it so hard to knock them loose.

thanks man, some how i missed them on copes.....

i really really hate shepard hooks....... i cant say that enough.

im going to order a retaining plate in the morning.

ive been stuggling with this 922r convertion....... the problem has not been putting things on the gun. more getting stuburn pins out of the dang gun. then having to deal with this shepard hook frustrated me to the point of wanting to turn this thing into scrap metal......
