You're a Zappa fan? I knew there was something I liked about you! I've been a fan of his since the early 70's. A huge talent that was, and still is, greatly misunderstood. I miss him.
RIP, Frank.....

I was priveleged to see Zappa in concert many times over the years, he always put on a great show. And he wasn't bashful about stopping a show either. If one of his guys hit a sour note, he'd stop and turn around until the whole band stopped, then start the song over. Same if someone in the crowd threw something on stage, he'd stop the show until security dragged the offender out kicking and screaming, then start over.

Zappa was the man on guitar. The great musicians always die before their time. Stevie Ray Vaughn was another guy that should have lived a little longer.
He actually started out as a drummer, believe it or not. I heard Alice Cooper telling a story on his radio show about some get-together in the 70's of all the top rock guitar gods at some club, where each hero got up and played his best licks. At the end, Zappa got up there and played what everybody else had played, and blew 'em all away.
