.25 Auto Slide Removel

I have an old .25 auto pistol that i would like to break down and
give a good cleaning, but i can"t figure out how to remove the
slide. can anyone tell me how to remove the slide?
The gun is marked, Hawes FireArms Co. L.A. Calif. Made In Germany.

(THANKS) Larry!

Hmm, does this look about like it ----> Hawes Pistol

Lots of similar guns still out there doing what they were made to do, but good luck finding a manual!

It could come apart like an old Baby Colt, try pulling the slide back about 1/4" and twisting the barrel counterclockwise. I don't see any pins that could hold the slide on, unless something is under the grips.

Pix are always helpful!

some of those little guns like that you have to pull the slide all the way back, then it kind of lifts off the frame and you slide it forward and off, at least the Beretta's ive seen

also might try the safty in different positions, on/off/somewhere in the middle?

a picture might help also,
good luck

You might try locking the slide back and then turning the barrel a 1/4 turn. It might just slide out.
