Question First Lady Now Requires 26 Servants

First Lady Now Requires 26 Servants
"We were wrong.

Michelle Obama, as we reported on July 7, is not served by twenty-two attendants who stand by to cater to her every whim.

She is served by twenty-six attendants, including a hair dresser and make-up artist.

The annual cost to taxpayers for such unprecedented attention is approximately $1,750,000 without taking into account the expense of the lavish benefit packages afforded to every attendant.

Little did American voters realize the call for “change” would result in the establishment of an Obama oligarchy."

What??!! No taxpayer paid full size jet to travel in? I guess she could hop a ride on Nancy Pelosi's jet that travels back and forth between San Francisco and Washington DC, but Pelosi's staff and drums of Botox takes up most of the plane, so MO will have to leave most of her staff behind. I guess MO will get her own plane service now; at taxpayer expense of course ...

Under Democratic Management

The White House has a very rich tradition of "bimbos" present.

Unfortunately, IMHO the current version lacks some of the class and decorum of the previous bimbos.....

Life's a tough deal when you're outclassed by Monica Lewinsky ......

Its not a new reminder of such bimboisms...LOL...
But it sure sounds like the new first lady has taken advantage a lot more than the previous..Not that all have been bimbos. Expect more pounds put on and other ways of spending our tax dollars for such helplessness.....

Well, Slick Hillary certainly did. She abused the daylights out of the perogative that the First lady can use Air Force jets assigned to the President's Wing at Andrews AFB provided the President doesn't need them, back when she ran for the Senate the first time. She was flying her whole campaign staff and a bunch of reporters around in one of the 707s that used to serve as Air Force One before being replaced by the current 747 incarnation of that call sign. And for a long time she didn't pay for the privilege, even though when the First Lady is not traveling on official business she and any personal staff flying with her are supposed to reimburse the Air Force so much per mile.

When members of the press who did not like her found out she wasn't paying her way, they splashed it all over the front pages. Eventually, Slick Hillary had to cough up the money, grumbling all the way. But the Air Force never collected for her staffers, or for the members of the Fourth Estate that followed her around.

In effect, she got the benefit of a couple of million dollars traveling expenses for free, to say nothing about the psychological benefit of arriving in an Air Force plane in Presidential Wing livery for all the media and the voters to see. To say that was sneaky, underhanded and slimy is to be charitable.

Red face

Lets hope We The People don't end up having to put up with the woman as long as the folks in England have had their Queen........

The citizens have at least a couple of things going for them in Queen Elizabeth II.

First, she takes her job very seriously. Winston Churchill learned that the hard way when he went to his first meeting as Prime Minister with her. He had expected a lightweight; instead, he found her better prepared for the meeting than he was, having read and analyzed all of the information papers in "the boxes" (they are real, leather covered dispatch boxes) that are sent daily to the Queen wherever she may be, and having opinions and comments ready on the contents for Winnie. He did not make that mistake a second time!

Second, unlike Michelle Obama, Elizabeth Windsor has always been proud of her country. She took a commission in World War II in the Army Transport Corps when she was the Heir Presumptive and learned to drive deuce-and-a-halfs - and to repair them, too. One of my favorite pictures of her is of Elizabeth in a pair of coveralls, grease smeared on her cheeks, hat pushed to the back of her head out of the way, and a wrench in hand as she stares intently into a broken-down truck engine, just like any other mechanic trying to figure out why the #@&*! thing won't run. She was also extremely pissed off when the Army kept her safe at home in England while her classmates were sent across the Channel to drive trucks from the beaches to supply depots near the front, even though she knew the Heir cannot be risked unnecessarily.

Finally, unlike Michelle Obama she can actually make a positive contribution to society. She's one of the most astute horse breeders in the world. She has the God-given gift of being able to read thoroughbreds' bloodlines and look at the the horses themselves, and tell which horses to breed together to get winners. That's not common anywhere. British bloodstock breeders contact her regularly to ask her advice. Another favorite photo of her is one where the Australian government has just presented her with a two-year old stallion, which is rearing proudly - and you can tell from her expression that she's thinking, "What on earth am I supposed to do with this loser plug?"

She may not be as up on modern manners and ways as she could be, but she's a solid personality who never stops working for her kingdom. They're luckier to have her than they know. Would that we Americans were as lucky in our first lady of the land!

That might be the more than a few congressman's election slogans in 2010.

Hmmm, a black woman with servants. This surely is the land of opportunity. I wonder if they have to call her "Massa"?

This is going down hill fast, I don't want to see crude comments, this is a family friendly forum. If it's not a name you would want your daughter, wife, mother, or sister called, then rethink it!
